about title

Each piece of equipment in a facility is attached to the ComGuard hardware. This typically would be done at the Motor Control Center, a common electrical installation in most large facilities. Once all inputs have been connected to ComGuard, the hardware would transmit the data collected from each piece of equipment to the software component of ComGuard, which is located on a PC. The software is designed to track data in levels. There are five separate levels.

The Site Level is primarily for multi site use. It is possible to run a single site, or multiple sites through ComGuard. You can keep track of each one of your facilities separately at this level. For example, if you have three facilities, one in Denver, one in Calgary, and one in Mexico City, they could all easily be tracked at this level.

The Plant Area Level is useful for dividing a single facility into several different zones. For example, if your Denver facility had four distinct areas such as shipping, receiving, production, and quality control, they could all be tracked separately at this level.

This level is where the facility equipment connects to the ComGuard hardware and the software collects the data transmitted from the hardware. The data received includes the equipment's run hours, number of starts, and number of days in operation. For example, if the production area in the Denver plant had six motors, Motors A through F, they could all be found here.

The Fourth stage is the Component Level where all components attached to a specific piece of equipment can be monitored. For example, if there are four components attached to Motor E in the Denver production facility and they are Belt 16, Drive F3, and Bearings 16 and 23, they could all be found here.

Lastly, at stage five there is the Maintenance Code Level. This is where all the maintenance that needs to be performed is tracked. For example, let's assume that in Denver's production area on Motor E, Bearing 16 needs to be greased every 350 hours, and/or cleaned every 600 starts, and/or inspected every 100 days.
ComGuard also allows you to keep track of all suppliers for specific components. It is possible to tie each component to a specific supplier to make it easy to source materials or equipment in case a component needs maintenance quickly. In a similar fashion, maintenance procedures or documents can be tied to each scheduled maintenance task for easy reference.

All maintenance histories are tracked in ComGuard as well. This allows you to view who performed maintenance on which component at any specific time, how long this maintenance took, and many other important details that you may want to know.
